How we research, write and review

1. Who we are

Shellix is an independent search engine for digital-goods shops, operated by Shellix.xyz since 2025. We are not a marketplace and we do not sell digital goods.

2. Where our data comes from

Every number in a Shellix article comes from our own crawler, which indexes storefronts across SellAuth, Shoppex, AtShop, Shoppy, BillGang, Sellix, SellPass and Macan Sell, and every article states the date the data was pulled. We record shop names, product listings, prices, publicly displayed feedback and sold counts.

3. How our articles are made

Articles are drafted with AI (Google Gemini) from our index and a structured brief, then reviewed, fact-checked, corrected and approved by a human editor before publication. Nothing publishes automatically. Data claims are re-verified against the live index at the moment of approval. We publish at most one new article per day.

4. What we don't do

• No fake authors. Articles are bylined to the Shellix Editorial Board.
• No fabricated case studies or testimonials.
• No reviews of shops we have not indexed.
• We do not purchase from the shops we write about, and we never claim to have.

5. Money

Shops can pay to be promoted on Shellix. Promoted listings are labelled Sponsored everywhere they appear, and promoted shops are excluded from every roundup.

6. The limits of our own numbers

Feedback counts, ratings and sold counts are scraped from each shop's own storefront. Shops control them. We do not verify them and we cannot detect manufactured feedback. Trust tiers are computed, not verified — and a shop with zero feedback passes the feedback gate at every tier, which is exactly why our roundups require at least one recorded positive review.

7. Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us: report an error. We aim to respond within 72 hours. A corrected article carries a dated correction note at the top, and its modification date is updated.

8. Limits

This is a grey market. Sellers vanish, platforms get seized or rebranded, and a shop that was fine last month may not be fine today. We report what our index says, as of a date. Nothing here is a guarantee.
